Referendum Day

Wednesday 18th July 2012 was Referendum Day in the Cayman Islands where the electors approve an electoral system of single-member constituencies with each member being entitled to cast only one vote. 

According to the Caymanian Compass, with the number of registered voters set at 15,161, the number of ballots cast to make the referendum binding is 50.01 per cent, or 7,582.  With only 8,677 Caymanians that voted, click here to see the final results.
